RAY WARD, A.F.C.A., attended the commercial art program at Capilano College in North Vancouver. Upon graduating, he briefly freelanced as an illustrator before turning his focus to fine art. In addition to his college training, Ray completed the Federation of Canadian Artists Foundation program and began showing his work as an active member. In the spring of 2000 he received his signature status (Associate Member), working primarily in oils. Ray enjoys painting the rugged beauty of our West Coast landscapes; local and European street scenes and cityscapes; and marine subjects.

Ray travels frequently and has visited Europe, Australia, South East Asia and Central and South America. He finds travel to be an important stimulus for growth and inspiration as an artist. While on his travels Ray visits art galleries, museums and likes to experience local cultures.
