These chickens lived in the Beaver Valley out of Williams Lake, B.C.  Mythology
has it that roosters are associated with the morning sun, waking and life; red ones
in particular. White ones are considered lucky to have around unless they crow
more than thrice in the night. If they do that one should consult the village
wiseperson.   Perhaps a painting on the wall is a safer choice.
