The model, or reference, for this painting comes from a grove of trees near
my daughter's door in our Cariboo country.  The colours attract and intrigue
but how does one deal with nature's jackstraws when it's time to face the blank
panel with brush in hand? I think we convince ourselves a rhythm exists in that
tangle of branches, leaves and treetrunks.  I just start shoving the paint about
until I feel that perhaps you may see what I see.  Seems simple enough.
