Inspired by his time living on Quadra Island, Christopher Walker brings the beauty and fascinating behaviour of coastal wildlife to life in this latest addition to his Coastal Birds series.
Great Blue Herons were regular visitors along the shoreline near Christopher’s studio, where he often observed them fishing and, in early spring, gathering branches washed ashore to build and repair their nests, known as rookeries.
These elegant coastal birds offer a wonderful subject for Walker, capturing both the quiet beauty of the natural world and the intriguing behaviours that make our West Coast wildlife so captivating.
A beautiful addition to Christopher Walker’s Coastal Birds collection, celebrating the character and timeless appeal of British Columbia’s coastal landscape.
