David Langevin is a Canadian landscape painter known for his dramatic wilderness scenes and signature “Treescapes.” Working primarily in acrylic, his paintings explore contrast, between light and shadow, stillness and movement, realism and design, creating powerful interpretations of the Canadian landscape.
Born in Quebec’s Eastern Townships, Langevin began drawing at an early age and went on to earn a BFA from the University of Ottawa, followed by advanced studies in fine art, conservation, and art education. His deep technical training is reflected in the precision, structure, and longevity of his work.
Langevin’s paintings are defined by strong composition and atmospheric depth. Forest interiors, trees, and wilderness environments are rendered with a striking balance of control and expressive energy, resulting in works that feel both calm and cinematic.
His “Treescapes” series has become especially recognized for its graphic strength and contemporary approach to Canadian nature painting. Each work is carefully constructed using archival materials and professional studio techniques to ensure lasting quality.
Collectors are drawn to David Langevin’s work for its bold visual contrast, refined craftsmanship, and contemporary interpretation of the Canadian wilderness.
