Artist Spotlight: Rick Bond – West Coast Rhythm

Join us on Saturday, April 12, from 1–4 PM, as we welcome Rick Bond for a special artist spotlight at White Rock Gallery. Rick will be setting up in the gallery to do a bit of painting and visit with clients, offering a unique opportunity to see his process up close and chat with him about his work.

This latest collection, West Coast Rhythm, is a stunning body of work inspired by Rick’s time on the west coast of Vancouver Island this past summer. Capturing the rugged beauty of the coastline, his paintings evoke the ever-changing moods of the ocean—from misty, atmospheric mornings to the rhythmic movement of waves against the shore. Having grown up in the Gulf Islands, Rick’s deep connection to the coast is evident in his expressive brushwork and keen sense of light and movement.

One exception in the collection is Cattail Dawn, a piece inspired by hikes through a nearby bird sanctuary—a testament to Rick’s appreciation for nature in all its forms.
