Graeme Shaw is a Canadian landscape artist whose work reflects decades of exploration, memory, and emotional interpretation of the natural world. Born in Calgary and trained under his artist mother, Shaw’s artistic journey took him from illustration work to teaching and eventually to full‑time painting. After spending several years living and painting in the North near Great Slave Lake, his landscapes became infused with the vast atmospheres, dramatic light, and expansive scenery of Canada’s Arctic, Rockies, and West Coast.
Shaw’s paintings are known for their expressive brushwork, thoughtful composition, and vivid portrayals of colour and light. Instead of strict realism, he often works from memory and intuition, allowing emotion and the lasting impression of a place to guide his compositions. His work resonates with collectors for its ability to evoke the serene beauty, quiet strength, and natural spirit of Canada’s landscapes.
A selection of original Graeme Shaw paintings is available for collectors at White Rock Gallery. Artwork may be purchased online through the gallery’s website or viewed in person at the White Rock, British Columbia location. Collectors are welcome to contact the gallery for pricing, shipping options, and any questions about Shaw’s work.
