Bev Ellis grew up in Vancouver, B.C. surrounded by mountains, water, forests and the distinct beauty of seasonal changes. She studied ceramic sculpture, printmaking, and painting at the University of the Fraser Valley. Surface and texture, nature and the human condition inspire her to create. Savouring each moment, she feels blessed to be an artist and privileged when people bring home the pieces that her hands and heart have formed.
Bev is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, the Craft Council of B.C., and the B.C. Gallery of Ceramics. She is published in artist journals, magazines, and in the first Book of 100 Vancouver Artists and Creatives: WeMakeStuff. Her work features widely in corporate and private collections and has been exhibited in B.C., Nashville and New York.
