 Terry was born in January 1954 and grew up in the prairie city of Saskatoon Saskatchewan. He committed early to a career as an artist after earning his diploma in Commercial Art in Manitoba in 1973.

    Since that time, he has had a diverse journey and a successful career as a commercial artist, which eventually led him to the west coast of British Columbia, and a dedicated fine art career.

    What began as a short "koi" series, inspired while researching a mural project, Terry found the beautiful and captivating Koi, and the world they live in, to be not only a compelling and visually appealing subject, but also a very infectious subject to paint.

    Immersing himself completely into the subject, was an immersion into a surreal and mesmerizing world, that even after hundreds of paintings, is still an endless source of inspiration, that has made his art so identifiable and unique. The Interest and demand for his art, grew as quickly as his "short" koi series.

    Terry was first published in 2005 and quickly became a widely collected and popular artist, having over 60 Limited Edition printings of his paintings published in the U.S. and distributed internationally. His art is shown and collected throughout the U.S., Canada and around the world.

    Terry lives and works at his home and studio with his wife and family on beautiful Vancouver Island.
