Ewa Tarsia is a Canadian abstract artist known for her vibrant colour, layered textures, and expressive contemporary paintings inspired by nature and the environment. Born in Poland and later establishing her career in Canada, Tarsia studied fine art at the Gdynia School of Fine Arts before dedicating herself to a professional artistic practice that spans painting, printmaking, and mixed media.
Her work often explores the relationship between organic forms, abstract structures, and the rhythms of the natural world. Using rich colour, gestural mark-making, and layered surfaces, Tarsia creates paintings that feel both energetic and contemplative. Many of her compositions evoke landscapes, gardens, and atmospheric spaces, while remaining powerfully abstract.
Ewa Tarsia is an elected member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and has exhibited internationally in Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia. Her work is recognized for its distinctive balance of intuition, colour, and texture, and is collected by private and corporate collectors around the world.
