The Terry Gilecki collection at White Rock Gallery features vibrant and highly collectible koi fish paintings by Canadian artist Terry Gilecki, known for his immersive, nature-inspired and surreal underwater scenes. His work blends realism and imagination, creating calm, luminous compositions that are both meditative and visually striking.
Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1954, Gilecki began his career in commercial art before transitioning to fine art on the west coast of British Columbia. His exploration of koi fish began as a short study project and evolved into a defining body of work that continues to inspire collectors worldwide.
Gilecki’s paintings are celebrated for their dreamlike quality, where koi move through glowing, abstracted environments that balance tranquillity and imagination. His work is widely collected and published internationally, with over 60 limited edition print releases distributed globally.
Terry Gilecki lives and works on Vancouver Island, where he continues to develop his signature underwater worlds.
